The Official Drupal Store is now live!

Drupal Store

I've been having fun working with the Drupal Association on the design for their new Drupal store.

The brief was to produce a very simple, initial design to get them started, which their development team would then hook into Ubercart, and later Commerce after the D7 upgrade. As their Drupal merchandise range is currently very limited, they also asked me to produce a t-shirt, and due to the popularity of the DrupalCon London Mod T, I decided to repurpose it to become the first new Drupal t-shirt for the store!

Longer term, the intention is to fill the store with merchandise and books to support the community and the Drupal project. So as part of the store design process, I went a bit further and produced some suggested additional visuals for them to grow into as the merchandise in the store grows. The Drupal Association is welcoming ideas for Drupal merchandise, and it would be great to see some cool stuff appearing in the shop soon.

This is the good news but can Drupal store database be integrated with eBay store?

Hi Anna,

I believe the Drupal store uses Ubercart currently, with a view to moving to Commerce once Drupal.org has been upgraded to Drupal 7 – something that is being worked on at the moment.

I don't believe there are any intentions to integrate the store with eBay.

More generally, there have been some attempts to hook Drupal up with eBay, like the Drupal eBay module. This seems minimally used and supported though so I can't verify its usefulness.

Looks great. I think the Drop in the Drupal Mod-style shirt should become the new logo for Drupal, replacing the Blue Alien Head.

Thanks! Glad you like it. I am looking forward to seeing the shop grow as more products go in.
